Ahearn's Lookout
A great effort by our Scout Unit Leader who successfully completed a 13km hike at Ahearn's Lookout. Navigational skills were put to the test but the view was 100% worth it! Congratuations! Each step led the Scout closer to his 100km Walkabout Badge.
Swimming Night
The cubs worked on their swimming skills - freestyle, backstroke and BOMBING! 1st Green Valley Scouts are grateful to Akela for providing a safe and fun place to earn their Swimming badges.
Their Service, Our Heritage
Scouts NSW commemorates ANZAC Day with by participating in the Dawn Service march with Liverpool Club every year. We visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to pay honour and pay our respects to our fallen servicemen and women. This was a 10km expedition!
Camping
As a member of Hume Region Scouts, our youth members have access to world-class scouting facilities, including those for overnight adventures! Berrima and Cataract Scout Camp Grounds provide mountains of fun for scouts and leaders alike!
Pioneering & Construction
Our Cub Scouts begin by learning various knots and rope skills to form the basis for their pioneering skills. Soon, we utilise these skills in construction - so far we have built a bench (pictured), a flagpole and a working Viking-style catapult!
